Another day another problem, I still love 'er though :p My car has developed a burning oil problem ever since I finished my headgasket job. So first I had the head cleaned up and shaved at a machine shop and also got them to install new valve stem seals that I ordered from driftmotion. One of...
So I ended up buying two new battery terminals and still nothing, I ordered a new main relay that sits in the top right corner of the fuse box in the engine bay, maybe that'll do it, I think it's time for me to invest in a voltmeter..
.
I wrote in my original post that I did take the terminals off and try cleaning up the batter posts but ya I'll just buy two new terminals for it. I remember my ground side terminal looked pretty finished, some plastic peeling off the bottom but I thought it was still getting a good...
Are you talking about the two blue wires with the little white connector poking out from underneath the fuse box? I didn't have anything connected to that before either.
Hey guys, so after completing my rebuild with a mhg and arp studs and fixing/cleaning up miscellaneous things, I went to start my car with my old battery that had been sitting for almost a year. Sure enough battery was toast, I was able to get some power when I hooked up a booster but that soon...
Last weekend my buddy got a 180sx(rhd) and we went out for a spirited drive out to a boat launch in my locale. Sure enough on my way back, after running the car a little hard, i blew the headgasket again for my third time now, only two months after my previous blowout.
The fix? Finally gotta do...
My supra had this problem once where i would start it up and it would rev all over the place anywhere from 1500rpm to 3500rpm. I to thought it was a bad tps sensor but it turned out my maf needed to be replaced. ANDD i had that same code 24
I have checked the fuses under the hood and they all looked to be OK, i did check some but not all of the fuses in the kick panel, only the ones that seemed relevant to my problem.
Hi guys, another day another problem with my supra. So last night leaving work i left my dashlights on and drained the battery accidently. No problem, i got my buddy i work with to boost the car and it was fine. I went out to the casino and parked my car. Leaving the casino i had a feeling it...
Update: So today once again my car did the same thing, however when i parked it when i got to work it had time to cool down. On my lunchbreak i left with the car again, started it up and everything seemed fine again as usual. 5 minutes after i start driving i notice my 'e-brake/brake fluid'...
So basically i could possibly have to replace my VSV which i've already replaced not to long ago? How did i get the motor to stop this in hot weather? It always lacks power whenever this 'miss' happens and makes my car sound like a subaru, an unhealthy one at that. Oh and its not hard to start...
So here's the deal: two days in a row now its been pretty hot outside, around 30 degrees celsius, and when i first start up(engine cold) and drive my car its fine, runs amazing. But, if i say park my car and shut it off for around 30 minutes or so and then go to start it back up (engine still...
I recently installed some old-school Advan split 3-spoke rims and lowered the car finally, car is running better than ever after finally getting the idle down to 700rpm. Here are some pics from a cruise i did with some other cars today.
So after getting a code 24 in my car and learning that my maf needed replacement i picked up a used one off a local guy and installed in my car. After clearing my codes and starting it up, it seemed fine, revved ok, i was able to make boost. When i got out onto the road it pulled just as i...
Hi guys, found my problem, the maf sensor on my car is f**ked. When i leave the maf plugged in and the cars running the idle shoots up to around 3k rpm. When i unplug the maf the idle drops down to where it supposed to be at, around 900 rpm. Code 24, trying to find another maf today.
Those times when your just chilling at the local tim hortons and the revving battle begins with all the little rice can civics, neons, focus' etc. After letting them rev, just start up the supra, shoot off the BOV, and everyone shuts up!
