yeah i looked up the epc and looks like i end up spending anywhere between 150-250 for the hub and first gear combined cost. we'll see how it goes tomorrow. i got all my parts from marlin crawler directly, they had a 4th/july sale and i saved 10%...that only left the 3-4 fork and stake nut...

teeth are fine, sorry no closeups were taken. everything but the front of first gear and the back of #1clutch hub (where these two parts make contact is gawled and ill have to buy both parts and a bearing spacer because of it) all other parts spec out great.

what you were describing seems similar to what mine was doing when i had a bad o2 sensor...also, it never threw a code. when i unplugged it and ran without it it improved a lot. worth a try since you can keep an eye on it with the wideband. edit: after watching the vid i think you might have...

sounds like its worth a shot...if theyre leaking then what harm could it really do? i saw a mk3 that a guy siliconed the targa on, so as long as you dont do that i dont see an issue. i know atf will also swell up rubber pretty good...i kinda like the vaseline idea though, you can leave it on...

well, my package from marlin crawler came in today and when i unwrapped my 1-2 shift fork i realized it was the same one driftmotion sent me the day before (i ordered the 3-4 fork from dm but didnt think about it having 2 holes(the 3-4 only has one)) so, things will be delayed by about a week...
