People have told me to use the stock one, and i am a bit too late to be able to use another one. I am moving 3 days with this car. :) I know a lot of people are using this cable, my donor car was, so how does it work?
Well, i wired up the throttle cable last night, but it didnt seem to work the best. It has a bunch of slack in it. Does anyone know what is suggested to smooth out the throttle cable? It was working pretty perfectly on the donor car.
I am looking for a 1989 wiring diagram, i have a few wires that i am not finding. I have a 1990 and 1988 engine manual, but no 1989. ANyone have pdf's or some sort of scans of the 1989? Let me know, thanks! I basically just need to know the different connections for the engine hardness. Thanks!
well, we just did the basic wiring tonight. It went great. We just copied what was done on the car. I have a car that was already swapped. Currently the abs and a/c is not connected, but everything else is. Tomorrow or saturday the car will be started! YAY!

Well, i just started putting on my drive shaft again, well it seems like it is shorter then i would expect. Is it normal to have about 1.5-2" of space between the drive shaft and differential?
Also for fun, i took pix of the auto and manual drive shafts next to each other.
Enjoy
Close up...
That is awesome being that i am partially color blind :) YAY!
Yeah, i would love to see these square mounts. The engine dropped fine, so i am pretty sure mine werent the square mounts, but it didnt look like the mounts were very round. just a tiny bit round.
Has anyone made a wiring walkthrough? I am about to start wiring mine up and i would really like to have a walkthrough for the 89 body. I have already exteneded the whole hardness.
I have searched, but i have not found something that is very indepth. I do have the 1j harness diagrams, i was...
I STRONGLY SUGGEST PEOPLE BANGING THE HELL OUT OF THE FIREWALL BEFORE THEY ATTEMPT TO INSTALL A 1JZ!
ALSO RELOCATE THE ABS LINES TEMPORARILY TO RELIEVE FRUSTRATION
THOSE TWO THINGS REALLY CAUSED ME A TON OF PAIN
Here is the link to the thread about the engine drop. It sucked, but it is done now. Now to the fun wiring and bolting the motor mounts, i dont want to forget that. :)

anyone know what that is? I dont know where it connects
This is the area that it came from. It is just dangling. I see that one vacuum line, but i am not sure if that is where it connects. Thanks!
yeah, i have an engine leveler, but one side is just a tiny bit lower and so the bolt is not lining up. the tranny is just a little angeled. I am going to try again.
I pulled the engine out again and removed the lines to be safe. Umm, does everyone put the drive shaft in while you drop the engine, or can you do it afterwards? I have always done it while i drop the engine, but i was thinking about doing it afterwards.
okay, i will try that. Today was horribly frustrating, i spent 6 hours and didnt get it done. I now dont have help to finish the job and i have to be 350 miles across the state tomorrow to find a place. OH MAN!
