Fuel oil and rubber are the only things to really worry about after sitting for so long. No need to swap out any fuses unless they are blown for some other reason.
The TPS only differentiates between turbo and NA. There is no year break in them.
Be sure to install the TPS as outlined in the TPS.

From AZ? It is usually the type where you buy the part, take it home, realize it wont fit or wasnt right in the first place. You take it back and the guys exclaims 'oh you wanted a carrier bearing!', we dont have that. Might try NAPA or Carquest, maybe the dealer even.
Anything is repairable. Its the cost of the repair that gets everyone. As long as the rod hasnt come out of the block and hasnt stretched itself too far a rebuild isnt too bad. If either has happened then it becomes a little more expensive. However I see used rods come up fairly often from the...
There is no way I am giving up my PS. Although you could drive the car without it. It just makes things that much more difficult.
Which line? I have a complete rack that I could strip one off for you if needed.
Not a bad time to consider a 1 peice aluminum driveshaft.

Read and try a little more diagnosis before you pull the motor. In the end, I would say it is time to go in the motor and do a complete rebuild.
I have noticed that the switch seems to also concern the pusher fan that I have seen on some cars and not others. At first I thought it was a turbo/NA difference. I have seen turbo cars that didnt have this fan though. I have the pusher fan and the front harness from a 87 turbo car that I was...
Yup you confusled my mind.
I have a turbo harness (2 knock sensors, shorter TPS lead, 4 lead AFM) and no blue A/C fan switch connector. After reading all the way through gtsfirefighter's build thread I see he also doesnt have the connector. Found a few others after a day of searching through...
The fuse block terminals may be burned loose from the block itself. Or the terminals themselves could be loose. Try tightening them a bit with a pick tool.
IJ: Noted and understood sir. However it is a very rare occurance that I wear the ring in shop. I know a few guys with permaneny bands on their fingers as well.
casgallo: thanks for the props. You got that voice too huh?
Weezl: This is beyond intimidating.
I found the page that...
The earleir (87 & 88?) harnesses dont have the connector for the A/C fan switch. I was confused but found as many pics as I could of earlier models to confirm my suspicion of this. All of the 3 port t-stat housings are on 89+ cars. As are all of these pics referenced.
