Project: Shouldn't have to do this

Looks more like it was surfaced with a belt sander than anything. That gouge/chip doesnt look healthy either. If it were my engine I would find another head.

    brake pad recomendations

They have to be looked up as a 89+ to get the listing. Part # SS7264AX is what you are looking for. Last I looked Beck Arnley were Axxis pads. Mine squealed after being warmed up. I took them off for the NAPA SS ceramics.

Valve Spring Replacement w/ Head on ?

I understand feeding the rope into the cylinder, just not the safer part. Unless safer as in there is a physical retainer keeping the valve seated unlike with air. I have dropped a valve once doing seals with air. Took me an hour to get it back in without pulling the head. Of course that was a...

    Timing Belt Problem Please Help

Shouldnt hear any noises from timing belt area. Need to find the source of the squeal before it puts you down where you dont want to be. Dying right after throttle up is usually indicative of AFM disconnected or air/boost leak.

    Let's rebuild a wiring harness.

If it were me I would source anouther engine harness before I tried merging the two harnesses together. I looked at it also and found I was better off with a realy badly damaged harness and a decent harness out of a GTE car than trying to use my GE harness to repair the GTE harness.

If your trying to stay quiet then go with a recirculated DDP. The difference isnt that much between them.

    starter location??

Cranking and not firing means the starter turns the motor over but it isnt firing up. The ghetto version is 'it cranks but wont crunk'. Your starter is located on the left side of the motor (as you are sitting in the car) at the back of the engine and front of the tranny. Or just follow the...

    Ignition? Aftermarket?

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60249 Would serve you well to read through that thread first. Ma70.Ent put a lot of effort into that thread. The factory Toyota coil is more than adeqaute to handle NA engines ignition needs.

Help me choose my ebay intercooler

I agree they look the same but Aaron still gets my vote and money. If you have any questions/problems during install who you gonna call with the ebay IC? Aaron is on the ball when it comes to customer service even after the sell.

    Soo... my car doesnt run

Actually my first car was 72 Chevelle that would pick the front tires up off the ground. I learned the value of respecting the car really fast. Since youth, inexperience and irresponsibility were the causes of this wreck...no the comments were not irrelevant.
