    Any1 Live in/around/near Detroit, MI?

Hello, welcome to the community. I didn't know they allowed Supras in GP. I'm in Warren if you need anything.

    Winter plans...

They switched to 5x114 in 1992. So if someone wants some hawt wheels, pick up a set from a base 1992 Camry: 14 x 5.5 with 195 rubber. Sweet.

pics of your 7ms engine bay

That is the weirdest IC routing I've ever seen. Nice work, though!

    The First Car

What, F-bodies are reliable now??? And stock supras are fast??? The first poster asks about reliability and gas mileage. The Supra is not first car that comes to mind. Regardless of make or manufacturer, newer cars are always going to be more reliable.

Yes it is a clutchpack and no it will not work.

    replicating plastic

Hmm, even a prototype tool would run tens of thousands + an injection molder. I think fiberglass is the way to go unless you plan on selling these by the gross.

Lanky is a Libertarian? Maybe we should start a Libertarian / Market Anarchist club. Who's in?

Gas prices, and something to think about.

Well, fuel really *IS* where it's at. As far as practicality, Gasoline is the shit. Doesn't matter if you burn it in a piston engine, wankel, or jet turbine. It all depends on the energy within the fuel. Even if we were to design a machine that extracted 100% of the energy from Gasoline...

Adjuster, I love ya, but I think you're a bit off base. As much as I'd love to blame the environmentalists, they are only a small part of the problem. Ok, so there's oil in Alaska. If it's so plentiful can't we get it somewhere else? Venezuala, Soviet Union? Can you give us some links...

    LS1 Project

Heh, you beat me to it. Especially compared to a LS1. Low end torque is dropping the clutch at idle and -instead of stalling- squawking the tires. Low end torque is pulling from a light in 3rd gear, so you don't spin all the way through 1st and 2nd. Low end torque is accelerating in...

    1jz coils on a 7m, here's the wiring diagram

I think there is some confusion on this. Prior to the dual ignitor idea, this was true. If you were to try to run 1J coils on a SINGLE ignitor setup, it would surely affect ignition, as the current would choose the path of least resistance. You are correct about the coils. Required dwell...

    Bought an AR5 Trans

Here's the input/output shaft info: R154 AR5 Output Spline count: 23, 27 Input Spline Count: 21, 24 Input shaft length: 7.5, 8.25 (in) Pilot Diameter: 12, 17 (mm) This seems to be a truly weird beast. Gear ratios are next...

    2JZ dirrect bolt On????

Nothing wrong with looking at a n/a 2JZ. With 1jz mounts it'll bolt right in, just use the W58. You then have all sorts of options for n/a-t. Possible VVTi too.

    1jz coils on a 7m, here's the wiring diagram

I don't get it. Is the source driver there just to ensure you have enough current to drive 2 ignitors?

    Bought an AR5 Trans

Well the 7M housing bolts to it. The input shaft is different, though. I need to quantify the exact differences yet.

    Bought an AR5 Trans

Yeah, I don't think it'd be worth it for me. Did you rebuild your trans yourself? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a press right now. How long since your trans was rebuilt? I hear synchros need to wear in before it'll shift nice.

Not on your life, Greg! However, if you want to talk about Cummins, I may be listening :naughty:
