Loctite on Flywheel and Pressure plate?

Definitely use loctite on the flywheel bolts. I think the pressure plate bolts come with lock washers?

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Sure, give it a try! Measure about 8 in from your stock location. That's where the shifter will be with a stock solstice trans.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

That and the 7M is coming out. I've had it with my engine. It can sit and think about what it's done while I work on my Mazda.

For everyone that works on you own Supra!

Try Dawn dishsoap. The grease melts away and you aren't left with that gritty feeling that other soaps have.

    Research paper

Performance: This should be easy enough to evaluate with some old Car and Driver Magazines. However, I think you may be dissappointed. Though the old Camaros and Mustangs where piles of shit, they were still decently quick. Driveability: Tough to evaluate, I don't think you'll find many...

    R155 Transmission?

Lol @ the thrust washer. If it's the AR5 design, it'll have the triple-cone synchros. Jeff, do you have a way of deterimining the input shaft length? Dr, just curious. I'm pretty much stuck with what i got.

    R155 Transmission?

Anybody know about the R155 transmission in newer tacomas? Looks like an evolution of the R150, as 2-4 gears are the same ratio. This could be an honest Toyota version of the Aisin AR5.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Blah, indeed! I'd be embarassed to drive the thing out of my driveway. My goal for the summer was to drive the Supra to Woodward. I did, but on the way home I made a lot of enemies. I make cropdusters look like childsplay. Where you at on the beast?

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

So, it's pretty obvious at this point that it's in, eh? The good news: It shifts like a dream. Like a honda. I like the extra gear in first. Gets me moving. I say the gear ratios are just fine for a heavy 7m powered car. The bad news: The engine runs like shit, and I'm blowing...
