The only extra plug I could think of there would be the harness connector for the headlight washers.... but those are only pre89 as well. How many wires run to the plug you're talking about?

Nope. It's on the left of the steering column... unless a previous owner pulled it over there and tied it down to clean up wiring. It's a fairly large plug too, a couple inches wide.

You did... Just a misunderstanding, when Bob said to connect the Grey wire (Aux 2, pin 7) and nothing's connected to the 6 pin, I thought he meant nothing connects to pin 6 (Aux 1, Brown wire). After I realized he meant the 6 pin harness is unconnected I wanted to be sure that I was still fine...

DAMMIT!!!! I wanted that wing! Seriously though, major bummer. I'd be heart broken. I hope she's going to a good home.

So I presume to remove the keepers all you need to do is stick a magnet down the pipe opening?

Wasn't there a trick for that using two pieces of PVC pipe? I've read about it before, but never in much detail.... details would sure as hell help me out tomorrow.

Okay, so do I need to change out Aux 1 for Aux 2? Or will either work, as previously indicated? DrJ., did you forward the settings I PM'd to you to Bob? Am I on track with those settings or am I a mile off?

Hey, thanks for the response Bob. So pin 6 (Aux 1) is no good? Jumper? What jumper? I presume this is something inside the MAFT Pro? Is this info already posted somewhere? I believe I have everything else connected properly, but I've got pin 6 (Aux 1 - Brown) connected to my ECU's MAF...

You've got to be kidding. When you add oil to the engine most of it runs down into the pan via the crankcase vvent hose... so unless you've decided to run your coolant lines in a VERY interesting way your HG didn't seat... at all.

^^^yep, forgot about the turbo lines... Don't know how you'd do it unless you've run custom lines.

:wtf: DAMN! The only other time I'd ever heard of something like that was back in high school when a complete idiot poured oil in his rad. Unfortunately I can't imagine anywhere else (besides the HG) where that could happen. Any coolant in the oil pan?

I think you've got your problem right there... :eek: Even if it were caused by a clogged filter I can't think of anywhere else where the oil could get pushed into the coolant passages. How much oil are we talking about anyway?

Just wanted to let those of you without a laptop know that you can cut down the motherboard connector from an old ATX power supply to make a spare connector to power your Maft Pro with when you need to update it. This makes it a bit easier to update your software with your desktop computer...
