IIRC, the driver and passenger door sensors are push button style and they're covered with little rubber boots. Is the door lining up properly when closed?
The upper hatch molding you may just want to buy new withe new clips, most that I've seen these days are all chipped and dried out.
I don't know of any batteries made for automotive use that are a real gel cell. One of the brands even went to the trouble of trade marking "Gel Cell" so they could advertise their AGM battery as a gel cell... it was either Optima or Odyssey.
There is a difference between AGM and gel cells...
Mine is DC-DC. I'm quite sure this doesn't happen with my car. So far my laptop works fine with the adapter in my car. I guess I'll see if it happens when I switch to S/D.
EDIT: Oh, by the way Doc, don't worry about the shifting in my case. There turned out to be a problem with the MAFT Pro I...
I've experienced this as well. For me it ONLY did it when ALDL was connected. I could have the laptop physically connected, but not ALDL and everything was fine. Connect ALDL and my AFR's shifted by as much as 3 integers!
EDIT: The only two possibilities I could think of are voltage offsets due...
f00g00, 16.5MPG????? That's horrible! I'd spend some time looking for what's wrong with your car before I worried about adding a MAFT Pro for more power.
I drove 230 miles about two weeks ago to pick up my brother in law for a funeral. I filled my tank before leaving and I filled it when I...
NOTE: The Latest LC-1 W/B's have only 6 wires, not seven. If your LC-1 does not have the Green wire (analogue ground) you need to run the purple wire (pin #2) from the MAFT Pro's 10 pin connector to the same bolt that you used to ground the two wires (white and blue) from the LC-1...
One of these days I'm going to have to go to the Colorado Dept. of Revenue and hound them for a registration count.
Busy? With the car? Now you're a REAL member of the Supra community. Get used to it, it never ends... if it does, it's only because you're slacking. :evil2:
They're fairly scarce around here. I know of about a dozen.... this includes sightings while in traffic. There may be a bunch of them hidden somewhere but I haven't found them. ;)
Well start rallying the other MKIII owners in your area for free advice, troubleshooting, tech support and all round help. If you can find 'em, exploit them and their knowledge!
Oh, wait..... :1zhelp:
Have you tested the coolant? Have you checked your timing? Both ignition and physical. The only other thing I can think of is a clogged cat... I've never had one of those cause my car to overheat, but I think I've heard of it happening.
A MAP sensor is part of the hardware needed to run Speed Density. I'll be switching over to Speed Density in the next couple weeks. I've posted the wiring diagrams in my writeup. You won't notice any improvement in your gas mileage unless you install a wideband to take advantage of Part Throttle...
One of these days I'm going to try to get a hold of the folks at Marlin Crawler and see if they can accomplish that with either a W58 or a R154. I suspect that if anyone has enough experience with Toyota transmissions it's them.
Ninja Edit or what? lol. I'm going to be switching to...
No. There are a few applications where the steel would be more desirable. Primarily because it can withstand more torsional stress than aluminum, IIRC.
Probably, it also takes longer at a specific elevated throttle position to reach a given speed on both highway and city street. My driving is at least half highway and my mileage did improve. Should get a bit better once I get my LC-1 installed and setup PTT.
