That's what I was waiting for Emik87t to clarify... His statement:
Leaves me thinking HE (Emik87t) moved the CPS after he got the car back.
I wasn't about to start ragging on the guy he paid to do it until that little bit was clarified.
EDIT: Whoops, typed in the wrong user's name...
I think either you guys missed what's being said here or I did....
Emik87t, did you put the bolt in that position? There's no way your ignition timing should be off by enough that moving the CPS that far would fix it. Something else is wrong, as mentioned, you're CPS is probably off by a...
You're boosting around in a car which may have a fuel supply issue?! Are you angry at the car or what? Get your WB in there and see what's really going on... you could end up doing some nasty damage.
Okay, the vacuum source is fine. Yeah, go ahead and set FlowErr to SD/Tuned.
By the way I spoke to Bob, he'll try to get us another 7M-GE only version of 4.89 sometime in the next week.
The attachments are nothing to do with Adobe. So that's half the problem. On Sunday, if you've got some...
What says the files can't be read because they were emailed? That's just odd.... were the attachments stripped from the email?
Yeah, the MAFT Pro will power up with any 12VDC power source, just make sure you power and ground the right pins. ;)
To update the MAFT Pro and to upload a bin to it...
I've made a number of tweaks to my settings today... just stuff to make the car run a bit better until I can start tuning it this weekend. I've got it tuned enough now that it's running about the same as with my MAF. So, I'm still running very rich, but I'm using PTT to help recoup a little of...
I doubt anyone thought you were "abusing" the Supra.:biglaugh:
I can shift into first while while moving, but it's not easy if I'm doing more than 20MPH.
Which version of the MAFT Pro software are you using?
If your MAFT Pro came with an older version I recommend you use either this version:
http://www.fadingworld.com/Supra/MAFTwriteup/TPRO484.zip
Or 4.89 which you can download from http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=2129
The...
Unless you're racing don't worry about down shifting before a stop... brake pads are easier and cheaper to replace than the clutch. ;)
And before anybody starts, I'm not saying that I don't do it... I'm just saying he shouldn't be worrying about it while he's still getting a feel for things...
When you first get everything hooked up go into the SensorMonitor screen in the MAFT Pro's menus. Set any one of the four monitors for "MP". That's what your ambient manifold pressure reading. In Denver (way above sea level) I typically see around 84KPA, yours will be closer to 100KPA. You want...
We met up today... I'd say it's more of a groan. The first thing that came to my mind when we went for a drive was the throwout bearing... but I'm no expert when it comes to clutches and trannies. The noise is present whenever there is ANY load on the tranny. When parked I was diggin around...
I am now running Speed/Density! The car isn't tuned yet, so don't bother asking how well it's running... the important thing is that it's up and running!
I'll be posting more details concerning the settings sooner or later. ;)
Mount a VERY strong magnet to the bottom of the pan to keep the bolt where it is and leave it there? ;)
Seriously though, a strong magnet will pull the bolt despite the pan being steel. It'll be drawn to the stronger magnetic field. I would look for some pictures of the baffles to make sure...
