Ugh.... had I understood the question at the beginning this would all be out and cleared up by now.
So, here's the question: Can the MAFT Gen II be run as an AFC?
Answer: YES!
You do not have to use a GM MAF with the GEN II although I really can't think of a reason not to. The GM MAF's...
I suspect Mr. Green's is running rather lean (found the sweet spot at around 15:1 AFR at WOT).
BTW, the stock injectors are specifiaed to flow between 290 and 330cc's, not 380. I see one more person say they're 380+ and I'm gonna kill someone.
AJ, typically DynoJet's report higher than Mustang, from what I've seen it's usually between 10 and 15% higher.
Green, what are you tuning with and what are your AFRs at WOT?
200RWHP with nothing but headers, a blaster coil and intake sucking in hot air from the engine bay?????
Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that is anywhere near accurate.
EDIT: okay, I see you've moved the filter up behind the bumper. What else has been done? Or did the shop just take...
You might want to ask IJ. He's cut a head in half before to do some investigating, if he's still got it he may be able to give you an exact answer.
BTW - i got the package... crap GM parts? lol, what make MAP sesnor you running? :icon_razz Oh, and THANKS!
^^^ Absolutely! Do it once and you're set for as long as you own the car! This definitely needs to be added to the list of contenders for "Mod of the Year".
The MAFT Gen II is a MAF Translator. It allows you to switch from the Karmen Vortex AFM which the GTE uses to a less expensive and better flowing GM MAF.
My stocker was threaded into a flange. I just unscrewed it and screwed in my WB O2 sensor... be careful though, there's always the possibility that you could kill the sensor from too much heat in the stock location.
ROFL.... you're killing me here, seriously. The MAFT Pro already is a killer piggyback and the vast majority of the bugs have been figured out (well, for the GTE anyway.... me and the only other N/A running it are both still having problems with our tunes shifting drastically).
Just curious...
Is he even running it? Is anyone? I know a few people tried, using the diagram posted above, but they got nowhere.... either they're setting up the MAFT Pro incorrectly or the diagram's wrong. I wouldn't find either hard to believe.
It's all good. I couldn't figure out what the heck you were doing either... then I read a couple of the previous posts. +1 for actually searching, -1 for typing in all caps. ;)
Not helpful in the least. If that was done with moly that's a hell of a lot of squish the HG's undergoing. It's a bit late to simply back it off, especially with 20K+ miles on the HG (with a composite gasket, it was too late to back it off the minute he did it).
