It can get very confusing... add to this whole mess the fact that most dealerships carry other third party service manuals and you just don't know what you've ordered until it's in your hands. :(

There are general electrical wiring diagrams in the back of my TSRM, they're just not as in depth as the actual TEWD. I've got 3 books total, but the TSRM itself is all in one huge volume of it's own. I've got the TEWD, TSRM and the Supra Collision Repair Manual... or whatever it's called. All...

The problem with the single volume version is the spine would disintegrate pretty easily due to the weight and stress. A lot of people I've met with TSRMs for other cars who ended up attacking them with a three hole punch and dumping them a couple three ring binders... I'm not far from doing...

Different release. My TSRM is all one book, and it's rather old. From what I was told it was later broken up into a couple smaller and more manageable volumes. IIRC, SupraRX7Nut's is broken up into two different volumes but the covers are pretty much the same as mine. I'll bet the smaller...

Bah... the colors of the wires are the SAME on the harness side regardless of whether the harness is pre89 or post89. Just wire it straight up.

I'm sorry, I don't follow. What color combination? With the 89+ it appears that blue goes to blue, red to red and so on...

If it's not in the TEWD I have no idea. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=56 Looks like the colors should be the same straight across.... what colors do you have? You may have to pull out a meter and test to see which is which at the ECU harness.

Harness side colors are the same for both. The colors for the 89+ distributor are listed in the online TEWD. Sorry, didn't think about that.
