Also, how does it make the car idle up exactly? How does it work? I know when its not working when you get off the gas the car dies, how does it prevent this? Does it have to do with mixture or?
Okay I figured it out, my idle sensor seems to work fine when the engine is cold and then it wont idle when it warms up. I think I need a new one but couldent I just block off the coolant lines running to it for now to get it to idle? I think the coolant makes the switch idle down a little when...
I am running 3 inch exhaust from turbo into muffler, everythigs fine but im gettin a random pop or light backfire what causes that? Id say it happens about every 7 minutes of driving. My friend has a WRX and it does it too, more frequent and its a bigger, louder pop. I dont understand how it can...
cant tell... its more white then anything elce, I am running water not A/F the wierd thing is that it comes and then it will go away like now its been fine for an hour. Why would it not be consistant?
Oh boy where do I start... Well just replaced the head gasket because it was suspected to be leaking, no water in oil just at high boost/rpm the engine would bog up and I would get smoke out the exhaust too at idle. Well the engine does not load up at high rpm anymore but umm I just saw it smoke...
I have a manual boost controller, I lost the diagram, I forget what side is vacume and what side goes to the wastegate.. If u hook them up backwards you will overboost so I dont wanna guess... does anyone remember what side is what, there all the same
"full throttle for awhile"
If the wastegate was not opening at all it would be 22 PSI as soon as the turbo spooled up. Maybe its a poor vacume sorce? The wastegate could be undersized but since its internal I guess its made for your turbo? Are you using a boost controller? If it is pluged in...
I looked in the online manual and I couldent find it but I know its there, anyone have the TPS link in the online manual I cant do a search for it and its not in ABC order.
I use to have a GTE... I upgraded to a NA-T with a T66 turbo, its nothing less then A M A Z I N G!! The T66 blows the shit outta that poor NA =) I have MUCH better low end and mid then my old GTE motor had!!! Keep in mind the GTE starts with about 150 HP while yours is 200! Good building block!!
I have been using mine for almost a year now, no cooling issues, in fact the fan barely comes on unless the car is at a stoplight for more then 2-3 minutes or so. While crusin on the highway or even slow there is absolutely no use for the fan or any fan for that matter. It is very common on...
Hayden makes decent big single fans,
"WOW yet another "Urban Myth" that needs to die......"
for the ALT drag, yes its true but you still make more power doing it electric
then dragging the engine with the air resistance. And its not a myth you do make more power and rev freeer that way
yea your right im taking a risk, but with the new ARP studs being alot tighter the gasket will form if there is a slight warp, besides the stock one is just dribbling
