I am sure that someday soon someone will install a MAFT and put the sensor a few inches too close to the turbo and maybe you guys can remember my post and save them alot of time since no one offered that as possibility to my idle problems!
yea I had a foam filter and a piece of the filter was sucking in and touching the MAF honey cone when the engine breathed in, the thing is so touchy! srry to confuse you...
I got my car to idle perfectly now!!!! It was the MAF sensor was too close to the turbo, now its about a foot away runs like a dream!!! The car is MUCH faster to spool now too!!! Thoes MAF sensors are finikey!!
its a GTE but I dont really care I can still set it, thats not one of my questions, what is the true timing I should set it to with my NA-T? 12 deg after the jumper is pulled?
whenever I jump mine the before and after timing is always the same! thats what I dont understad! I set it to 10 with it jumped then its still 10 when the jumper is pulled. I know the jumper is working because I can get engine codes from it
Okay, I have a knock meter, with my T66 turned up to 15 PSI I get some slight knock on the NA-T in 3rd. If I leave it at 13 its fine. (either way its insaine as you saw in the video at 9PSI) My question is... Would it be better to try and retard the timing a few deg or turn the turbo down? What...
I never took mine off either, all I did was slide the exhasust manifold over to the side, split the intake manifold with 5 bolts and unhook the injector clips and a few others and off she went
One more thing I noticed guys.. It says 9-10 deg for GE and more then 12 for GTE. The engines are the same except for compression ratio and intake manifold what dictates the lower timing on the GE? Do they think its gonna det with more compression or somethin? lol the reason im asking I have a...
im kinda confused...
"However, I forgot to install the coolant hardlines that begin near the starter"
When I did my HG I dident remove any hardlines... How did u end up removing them in the first place? The only coolant lines that need to be removed is one soft rubber one in the back and...
I dident see that, I just added in the water temp thing before I saw what u said.. im not sure but I know one side of the IC is very warm and the other side coming out is really cool. I was gonna get a temp guage but never bothered
