is the thermostat the same for turbo and na?
i wanted to order one(no shops near me have them). on horsepowerfreaks.com they only list the turbo model Tstat. also they dont mention the temp rating....
its cool i appreciate the help.
i Really think/hope it was the bypassed core hose that was leaking. my spark plug galley was nasty with crusty stuff, some looked wet to me on closer inspection. there was a spliced piece of hose right back there that could have leaked. the hose itself was bone...
someone tried to pry my glass... they however werent very smart. they were prying at the molding Above the glass at the molding. not sure what getting the molding off would have done for them....
fan shroud is good.
when i get home and check the catch can is about half full or less. if it is leaking there its leaking it out fast and settling back to normal level fast.
so just the other day this started.
i go to work(2am nice and cold outside), about 3 miles from home the temp gauge spikes. i let off the gas a little and the needle drops right back to normal. at the same time i smell coolant really strong. i gotta get to work so i just keep going and figure...
brembo slotted(not ebay junk) with porterfield pads and of course braieded lines. i even went for braided with PVC covering.
dont skimp out on brakes, they are what stops you after all lol.
id like to hear how the gasket job goes. i think my n/a blew, i might end up trying to do the same that your doing....
i want to dump the turbo motor in, but dam right before the holidays i cant afford to lol
you dont want to block them off. you need to bypass. if you block off the coolant cant flow properly and youll get a big hot spot in the back of the motor.
no, youll need to buy some new heater hose.
i bypassed at the heater entry point(pass side). then used a hose extension thing and cut the hose coming out of the motor(dead center, rear). id Like to not use the hose ext. but i cant get to the inlet on the motor.
you might want to try and flush...
i agree, at least nascar is Fast though and has crazy crashes. drifting (what ive seen on tv) looks painfully Slow. the only crashes they have are hitting cones or bumping a wall and ripping bumpers off.
drifting needs to at least have a full course. again what ive seen on tv, its 2 turns and...
havent had any problems with mine. ive used it a few times to drain and its slow but doesnt make a mess at all. you didnt unscrew it all the way right? just a few turns until fluid drips Down and your good to go.
well based on your video and your claim you cant drift the car because the car is laking... id say its user error. your doing big donuts and the weight of the car is making you slide a bit, thats not a 'drift'... maybe your post should read 'why cant i swing the rear end around more while doing...
not to sound like a jerk but, your not 'holding a drift' because your not drifting. your sliding the back of the car around the turn, Big difference. learn to drift before saying the car cant handle it.
why is it anytime Anything happens with coolant people jump all over BHG. i mean come on, a cracked old hose would be my first guess. dont jump on the worst case, start small first.
isnt the weight mostly lost when you pull the bearing? dont need it with the 1 piece.
still loosing 2-4lbs off the actual shaft is decent. anything to reduce sprung weight goes along ways.
