Updates: Fixed the axle hop by using poly bushings Took it to the track and ran 12.9 @ 110mph... on 195/70/r14 crap rubber :) Should run an easy mid/low 12 with more traction Gets 30mpg on the highway Broke the r154, turns out to be a broken bolt holding the shift for to the rail...

I'm bumping this because I found the problem. The bolt for the 1-2 shift fork Broke! its a 77 cent part.

IMO the linkage setup on the LHD 7m engine is absoutely hideous. Since I had to go with a new cable for my drivetrain swap anyways I got a lil creative and used an automatic transmission kickdown cable from an Isuzu SUV, looks much better than the OEM LHD setup.

you cant "slip" a diff without the tires letting loose. Your clutch is probably slipping and you just cant see the wear.

Nope.... smooth road, just stopped at a stoplight and put it in neutral and that was that, stopped working. I ground third gear under WOT about 5 miles beforehand but it shifted perfectly fine afterwards until I came to a stop and then I was dead in the water.

I have a JDM 7mgte engine trans and harness in my celica..... I dont believe I have a speed cut, I can hit a speedo indicated 190mph, which I believe is actually about 160 mph lol. the setup is out of a digital dash car apparently.
