When I tore the motor apart when I first got it I could tell that it had never been taken apart before. I don't think the factory would have put in the wrong size pistons?
The only time I ever really even heard the "slap" was during the vid that I took, probably becasue the camera was on the...

Yeah, I have read that thread already. I searched for a few hours yesterday and thats about all I came up with that helped.
Edit: I know exactly what piston slap is.... but I am just looking for an answer as to how safe it is to drive the rest of next summer
Last year I purchased a JDM 7mgte to put into my 77 Celica. Upon receiving the engine I pulled it apart, lightly lapped the head and block to remove small imperfections, installed a new OEM HG, and put it back together using ARP head studs.
Mods are(if it matters): Cooleeze Big Mouth DP...
I am bumping this and adding a picture for anyboday that may have the same problem in the future.
If you didn't read through the whole thread.... I broke the trans, thought it was a shift fork, and it just turned out to be just the bolt that held the 1-2 shift fork to the rail

Speedo is pretty far off at that speed, but it is a GPS indicated 162 at redline
I have a death wish I guess... those tires are rated for like 90mph. And a 32 year...

ordered some "smiley" fiberglass bumpers for her.
should save about 80lbs or so, and it will look much better.
motor is out... might be going the mhg route to be safe
I just have them hooked up with a thermostatic controller.... sooo none of the stuff you mentioned.
Any suggestions, or well, more in-depth suggestions?
I'll have to wait a while, I have the motor out of the car at the moment for some machine work. I'll let you know the measurements when I stuff it back in there
I wish I had enough room to install the factory fan setup.....
I had no choice but to put in e-fans :( now I constantly worry that they will fail.
