driving it soft you will have the possibility of smoothing out the ring and they wont seat good.
switch to syn anytime after 1500k miles. but just for added mental security i wouldn't till 2500k miles. but that's just me.
im sure other will chime in tomorrow. i would like to hear more...
boost up to 4k and not over it. you want to seat the rings not smooth the rings. drive it hard but not full out racing hard. just drive your car. and what i mean by this is not everyday normal driving, drive it hard. cars were meant to be driven so drive the dam thing just don't go full...
the first 50 miles is crucial. hard and fast not over 4k. not over 75% throttle. run the first 50 miles non stop. change oil run the next 500 miles same way. change oil run same way for the next 1000 miles. at that point you can make the decision to run syn for the next 5000k or do...
junkyards as supraman and cyfi6 stated. cressida's and supra both have the same engines. if not check the for sale section for any one selling a motor or random stock parts and ask for the bolts. i personally wouldn't put anything that wasnt stock for bolts on anything for both looks and...
egr stands for exhaust gas recirculation. there's no coolant involved in the egr system.
maybe you mistaken a coolant hose for a vacuum hose?
or just totally f'ed up the hg?
then swap that diff. i went from a open diff to a 3.91 and really didnt notice a differnece on my old car. funny thing was that at 80 i was at 3600k with the open and with the lsd out of 87 auto i was still at 3600k at 80 huh:squint:
valve stem seals or a bhg. most bhg's will tend to either just blow on the 6th cyl or more.
comp test and block test. if both come back fine replace the valve stem seals.
done it and it sucks wasn't full summer heat tho. need to recharge/check for leaks in my car. thank you it hasn't been more than a 100* out here yet. there's always going to be that day where your like f$%# i wish i had a/c.
anything thats not working. while your in there might as well change all the little o-rings where everything meets together so you know for sure you dont have any leaks.
actually i remember seeing somewhere selling new harness's not from toyota but with all toyota plugs and same color wires. idk where and it was a long time ago but they were about the same price.
