ya that is correct. so you need a 87-88 turbo harness and ecu. unless you want to use the gray plugs, lengthen the harness and repin the connectors to work with the early body harness.

you should resurface the head anytime you change the hg. also pressure testing and checking for cracks that pressure testing might not find. our heads have a bad habit of being out of tolerances pretty easy especially if its been over heated before.

what temp is your t stat? stock is 190 and is what you should be running.

watching the stock gauge does not tell you how hot your engine is lol. the a/c fans do kick on when the engine runs hotter and the extra fans aid in cooling the motor.
