a lot of tires its only 44. was just a example as every tire is different.
either way its not recommended by the tire manufacturers to run your tires at its max psi.
they should be anywhere from 32-36. the more pressure the less traction and more wear in the middle. less pressure more traction and more wear on the outside edges.
just because your tires say 44max does not mean thats what they should be at.
35psi is the spec from toyota.
i run mine at 32...
ya if your going to go that route i would suggest finding another crank to slap in with new bearings and you might be able to get away with it other than that you need a rebuuld.
ya that is correct. so you need a 87-88 turbo harness and ecu. unless you want to use the gray plugs, lengthen the harness and repin the connectors to work with the early body harness.
you can have a bhg and still not mix enough water to see it in the oil.
compression test shows you how much psi in the cylinders and a leak down test will show you how long it stays there.
another good test for a bhg is the block test to test for combustion gas in the cooling system.
not...
the idiot lights like the brakes light, batt light, check engine light, door open light, basically all the lights that come one when the key is in the on position but has not been started.
do the idiot light come on when the key is in the on position then shut off when you try to start?
prolly not getting a good connection at the battery. i had this everything was tight and clean but as soon as i would touch/push in a certain way it came back. i bought a new pos clamp from...
you should resurface the head anytime you change the hg. also pressure testing and checking for cracks that pressure testing might not find.
our heads have a bad habit of being out of tolerances pretty easy especially if its been over heated before.
watching the stock gauge does not tell you how hot your engine is lol.
the a/c fans do kick on when the engine runs hotter and the extra fans aid in cooling the motor.
no unless some one has some laying around in a ware house and you get lcuky enough to get the last set. iirc from what i have read you can still get them rebuilt tho which imo would be well worth it.
edit: anyone know someone who works for hks that can see if they can re make them for the mk3?
