I would start going over the wiring starting at the level sender. I dont know if there are any wiring differences between the analog and dig dashs but maybe someone else does as there are not to many of them.
That sucks. When it starts to get that late and you've been working all night find a safe spot that you'll remember and walk away.
The only thing i would think off would be if it was a hard enough fall on the crank that it might mess with the bearings. Other than that maybe a broken bolt or...
Holey old thread. Iirc you can change the little prongs for it to work with a jz or 7m tps. If you search for it you might be able to find it, but it might be tough with all the 3 letter words.
What head bolts did you do and did you do a retorque?
Rent a pressure tester from kragen or something and check for leaks. If no leaks are found proceed to compression and block test for bhg.
You could plug it up, but what would be better is switching to a non p.s. rack like the mustang one. There is a thread around here somewhere if you look for it.
For the belt just get a shorter one. Measure it with some tape or something and go to the auto parts store.
