Sounds like just the starter is frozen. Esp if it was sitting in the cold for a while. Bang on the solenoid with a hammer a few times and see if it starts. If it does i would still replace.

Or just run synthetic. Also a good alarm with all that will let you set the time for the turbo timer.

Its easier to remove the bolts with the bellhousing removed. Unless you like using a foot+ of extensions on a 12mm bolt thats not exactly torqued tight but been sitting for years.

Iirc por15 is pretty strong it self. I would like the bottom of my car to be that shiney. Truck liner would be that bad but i have seen some that just fall apart so maybe not the best idea.
