Supposed to be there but it wouldnt cause that.
Check the cennections and everything and make sure the ecu grounds are clean and tight on the intake manfold. Also check your codes.
Then you wouldnt hear it in the pass kick panel and it would be more of a grinding sound or if it really was that bad a super spin whine sound on the drivers side. Which i have yet to see on any jz or 7m. Not a clicking sound every time you turn the key.
Yes it increases rigidity as it keeps both frame rails in place.
If you were to get in a crash the tank with in in place would then be a civic and slamming the engine through the firewall.
Do note not all crashes are not the same. Either way. Do not remove it. If its in the way modifiy it...
Or non water cooled turbos.
Either way its good to let the oil cool down before shutting off. Hence the sticker on the door panel. Synthetic there is no problem no matter what.
