    limited slip???

Bringing an old thread back. I added the specific amount of diff fluid. I went with MOTUL 75w-90 oil ( synthetic blend). I've heard that the MA70 turbo diff with lsd doesn't like anything synthetic. True? I was thinking that I might switch out for some regular Valvoline 75w-90 weight if...

    its cold when its cold

It's the VSV or power to it. i had the same problem. I run full time and removed the heater bypass and vsv all together. If you need one I got it. Just as Ian stated

    lex and 550cc questions

You aren't changing much the fact that you are still on the Factory ECU. Running the lex and 550 are just basically compensation for one another. Keep the Ign timing at 10 degree. As for the boost.... you need a free flowing exhaust system. You'll feeling on difference in the power...

    MKIII drifting

Yeaaa That is absolutely not drifting. Drifting is controlled. It's the driver and the car. just casue the car is RWD eveyone thinks they can drift. OOO yea.. oversteer aka I'm drifting.:nono:

    turbo boost

Assuming a 60-1 trim in a CT26 case. 15lbs psi is average. STOCK CT26 no more then 15 PSI. Most stocks out there are running on its last leg, so upping the boost will only sign its death cert.

Timing belt question Gates OEM or Race?

I'm running just the Goodyear gatorback belt. I chose this route cause I plan on replacing and maintenance on belts every 30k miles. As add security the tensioner and tensioner spring is replace with new OEM pieces and torqued to specs. I believe that as long as you are up to maintenance, any...

    fuel upgrade

Actually Rx7 came with two known identical part numbers. One is high ohm impedance and the other is low impedance. You wanna make sure that you get the low impedance ones for a drop in and go.

    turbo

If they are premature cracks I see no problem running it. I've had chunks off a wastgate opening missing before ( on a different vehicle) and only small little side effects. it does not effect how the car runs on the street.. only while in boost. You can't adjust boost of a BOV. The...

    turbo

Closing the wastegate and not having a functional wastegate would cause infinite boost ( or boost til the turbo gives). The housing might not be reusable, but I haven't heard anyone have running issues with a internally crack housing. Someone else can also chime in on this... but welding the...

    DIssapointing Night at the track.

Yea... never thought a bad turbo can cause boost cut. theres a first for everything I guess. I'm debating now if the is300 coils is the cause? Well gotta do a lot more prepping and diagnostics.

    DIssapointing Night at the track.

Yea that is true. I've heard alot about traction issues with the sac raceway. I will give it another try after a new turbo, maft pro, 550s, tune, diff support bushings, 1pc DS, and maintenance. Thanks guys for your inputs.

WOW Ian... Thats a nice setup. My setup seems to be working fine. If it wasn't raining, I'll make proper adjustments. My CC only has two fittings. Looks like the best route is to make another line from the CC to the TB instead of taping the main outlet to the intake.

    DIssapointing Night at the track.

Yes Ian I have a properly routed PCV system according to one of the thread on SM here. It's routed to the throttle body and intake system from a Greddy catch can, that pulls from the valve covers. Too all others..... Driver experience have alot to do with it... but I hope everyone read...

    DIssapointing Night at the track.

LOL... true... digging out of the hole was bad... but the track was very slippery. Just about everyone out there was running 2-1 seconds slower because of the condition. The problem with 440s is they are easily maxed out when pushed. I'm settling with 550s for add security. An upgraded Fuel...

    DIssapointing Night at the track.

Thanks guys.. due too Fuel cut and a slippery track, my times were bad. Ran a 15.1 at 102 with a 2.7 60ft time for my first run.... should be hit 13's with traction. I'ma give another try soon with a new turbo, 550s, maft-pro, synthetic fluids, test pipe, and tune.

So I hit the Sac Raceway tonight on my fresh rebuild and basic bolt ons- Suprasport lipp, HKS DP, RSR catback, blitz intake, FMIC w/ 2.5 piping. Best ran at temps of 47 degrees ( YES it was cold... everyone was running slower then they should be) 14.857 at 98 MPH. 60ft- 2.4 Horrible! I...
