Doesn't it matter how far along the exhaust system the 02 for the wideband be place? Putting too close and too far can effect the A/F readings? Hopefully Ian can come in and clarify. With all those mods I hope you didn't skimp on the ignition system. Sounds like its time to upgrade your...
There is nothing wrong with 1j or 2j's. I too was in the same predicament as you are on staying 7m or other routes. After long searches and reading how durable a 7m can be if done right ... the choice was quite clear. I have nothing against 2j or 1j... but after my fresh 7m rebuild; I don't...
I had problems with my power steering pump after taking out my motor and draining just the fluid. I ended up loosing the line with the banjo bolt so it can bleed through ( any air out). After that everything works. I don't know if its necessary, but this is what I did. You may want to hear...
I think that you should focus more on suspension then a wing. Build up that suspension to handle hard corning and excessive oversteer. When you achieve enough and oversteer becomes much an issue, then you can focus on selecting a proper wing.
Remember to ask for all your old parts that was replaced. In this case you know they did replace them. My machinist was very honest and I got my head fully reworked for about 575.00. Always ask questions... (leak test, repair any cracks, bake the head if needed) ask them to check everything...
universal 02 sensors are a no no in my book especially if its a bosch. You have to have the correct length so that the resistance doesn't change. If its a bosch then just toss it and get a NTK or denso (OEM type with plug). I had have nothing but bad luck with bosch products.... I end up...
^^ just what I was gonna say. Jump E1 and TE1 in the diagnostic box next to the fuse box. That is the correct way to doing timing. From there with the jumper off and vehicle up to norm temp... timing should be at 15 degress BTDC.
The Lower hose for 85 supra works great. I ended up cutting my powersteering braket to fit and used a smaller belt ( I accidentally cut the new hose a bit short). Make sure the hose is for a 85 supra with the 5mge motor.

I have had numerous problem with bosch in Imports. Haven't tried in my supra... but with bosch +4 still only one prong will ignite instead of all four (closest one to the center electrode). NGK or DENSO... I'm running the NGK BCPR6EGP (.032 gap) in mine with great results at 10psi. I will...
Hum... just out of curiosity... tookwik... must the coils see ground or mounted to a grounding point? I see that you made fancy grounding/holding clips. Is the factory wire ground in harness efficient enough?
Get coilovers as spring and shock combo will still run close to that area. D2 and teins are nice. Megan blows out to quickly, nex are cheapos, eibach are ok( no tunerability). Energy suspension bushings are mild poly's but great for a daily drivers. Go with super-pro (??) or RK for much...
Well i bet if your after weight saving then anything is better then the stock ones. Me and a buddy weighed the factory mk3 electronic driver seat at a whopping 80lbs. I don't know if the scale is wrong.. but buying a cheaper brand seat can save some extra baggage.
I say do compression test and leak down test. Sounds like not just one thing wrong but a few. You could have excessive blow by and that caking on the throttle body can usually be from the EGR.
Do first as IJ recommended. Have the machinist tell how much he taken off (materials). From there you order the correct headgasket thickness. There is a Sticky on this. Instead of going with a HKS MLS HG just get a cometic.
I was debating on NGK power wires or Magencores. After seeing Tookwicks COP, this was the best bang for the buck ignition. Got mine done today and couldn't be any more happier with the boost and install. Looks like 89sup got you covered on the firing order.
In't it that the 92's was the only one offered with sunroof as an option? I just double check my vin and my ride is a 91... factory white Pearl ( must be a limited production too).
Just got mine done today. Idle awesome and quicker throttle response. Pulls freaking hard for only 8psi then before on factory unit. A+ over just buying aftermarket plug wires. My boost gauge reads 6 psi all the way through on the stock ignition system. On the is300 my gauge reads 8 now...
