If it's there, its there for a reason. It's alot easier to replace the BVSV then trying to disable it's main purpose. If you got valve ticking very loudly, you just don't add thinker oil or additives to quite it. You fix the problem. I got my BVSV new from autozone for a mare $30.00. If...
Run OEM thermostat and be done. Don't mess with A/F and mess something up. There is a reason Electronic Fuel injected vehicles have a coolant temp sensor to the ECU.
I've notice that on many setups, configuration makes a difference. Many smaller quick spooling turbos build boost at lower rpms ( density, flow, pressure, engine health and so forth) tend to have a louder vent noise. Check for boost leaks as I have seen pressure seeping before it's being...
I like to comment on the 4G63 motor. It's still a motor and all engine has some kind of positive crank ventilation ( wiki for more answers or ask Jdub). Why does the 1G dsm have this problem? Old age, old oil dip stick, EXCESSIVE blowby, ect. A factory PCV system is adequate based on design...
Many times when the Disc is coated you can detect the faint smell of burning oil and asbestos (material of disc either or). I have it happen before on other vehicles, and the smell is very obvious ( location and smoke). Usually ending up to be the rear main seal.
Sometimes you just have to...
Many Karmen setup uses a honeycombo inside before the sensor. This helps slow and direct the air charge, which will give a better reading for the AFM. This is very common on DSM, 3SI, Nissan,Older GM MAFT, ECT.
I was wondering if this minor factory innovative would help with the toyota...
Can't beat a True Aisin clutch for its price. I'm sure if install correctly and tolerance is in spec Aisin clutch should hold 350wtrq easily.
I can't believe that many would buy a XTD or F1 clutch and expect it to be any better. Nothing towards you turbo habanero.
Take a look at this thread. Not linked to the subject at hand but a good idea to go off from.

^^--- YEP. Check your shifter bushing. There is a video on youtube that a member here have on bad bushing and replacement. Just did mine. Can't wait to see the outcome ( my old one literally incinerated)
Any intake leak aka or boost leak after the AFM will cause misreadings. Is the BOV vented out? Jdub has the best answers so do as he stated. Also check your ignition timing and plugs. Colder plugs at idle or low rpm won't fire (burn) efficiently.
Everyone should know that fuel cut is there for a reason, and obviously a good one. Until you have a better tuning setup, I would lower the boost level of the 57trim CT. As Gaboonviper stated, the SAFC will not REMOVE FUEL CUT. Play safe and look into getting the MAFT-PRO setup. I think that...
It's hard to predict, but seems that a STOCK 7MGTE on a MA70 platform runs mid to low 15's. All else considering play ( vehicle condition, track condition, elevation, driver, ect). My buddy and his 92 3000gt VR4( KnN filter, apexi exhaust) ran a best 14.00 1/4. Consistent time was 14.4...
Be ready for a tear down if its a tired old 7M. Even if maintenance is up to par, the motor might be running on its last leg. Like its been said " the weakest link in the 7M is the driver". Be patience and do a lot of research before deciding on a upgrade path.
NIce build process. Don't give up just yet, but for instance if you need a wiring harness done, just talk to the guys at Phoniextuning.com . I've have always been a Driftmotion customer because they treat their customer right. Most of my near future parts are going to be from them or suprasport.
