So Tonight was my First time Drag Racing...

Went to PIR tonight. Did my first drag race ever. It was a lot of fun, until I broke something after my 7th or 8th run. Thinking I broke the fork for 5th/Reverse. Managed to get the transmission OUT of gear, then didn't want to go back into gear. THEN I was able to get it into gear but only...

Dyno tuned my car today (RT Tuning)

Nice numbers!! You should be able to push around 400 & 390 if you up the boost to 18psi and re-tune for it. I squeezed out 407hp / 393tq on essentially the same setup (MAFT-Pro instead of AFC-Neo). Just letting ya know there's more there to be had if you want it *wink wink*

That's affirmative on the MAFT-Pro controlling boost.

    Dyno Tuned my car today...

I'm still looking into the max duty cycle of the Siemens Deka's. I'm running all the time on 92 octane or higher (pump gas). And as for the MAFT-Pro.. I love it, but I'm a computer nerd, and I mostly understand wtf it's doing. I'm still trying to figure out the boost control shit though...

    Dyno Tuned my car today...

As per the Dyno sheet, it was 19.19 psi Actually NO I don't. I'll have to check on that ASAP thanks for the reminder. Fuel pump is a single Walbro 255. Yeah, I may have to actually do a bit of coarse adjustment with a Mid & HI load user tune to pull more fuel in that midrange. I spent...

    Dyno Tuned my car today...

    New MAFTPro 5.03 Install questions

BTW Jim what wattage is required? Getting a resistor that matches the Resistance specified but has a larger wattage rating will not hurt you. The wattage is simply the amount of power tha resistor can handle as a normal load. A 1/8 Watt resistor wouldn't handle the power a 5 Watt resist...

    VE Table on MAFT Pro

I'm running into some of the same issues Robert!! Trying to do a bit of tuning while I'm home & returning to the west coast from the holidays. 3000 miles is plenty of space to do some tuning.

Why is my New Clutch Slipping - proper break-in

Well I'm pulling the flywheel & clutch tomorrow. Going to just take it to a shop and have them put a 0.025 inch (0.635mm) step on it and check the flywheel for runout. My machine shop that did my machine work & balancing *should* have checked all this, but I'd rather just have a machine shop...

Why is my New Clutch Slipping - proper break-in

I'll look into getting another Flywheel if the inspection turns sour (about the flywheel). I'm assuming the the backstep info can be found in the MKIII TSRM (onilne?). and iis the distance from the crank surface to where the back of the flywheel should be (or would it be the friction surface on...

Why is my New Clutch Slipping - proper break-in

Right now it's a fully built 7M-GTE on a .57 trim CT26 w/ 550's & MAFT-Pro. It's as of yet un-tuned. My guess is that it's somewhere around the 250hp to 280hp range. It's fun, but it's annoying as hell that the clutch is slipping. I'll be getting in contact with the vendor tomorrow to see...

Why is my New Clutch Slipping - proper break-in

My buddy James installed the Clutch & PP onto the flywheel which I installed. I am positive I didn't get grease on the flywheel, and he's knowledgable enough that I trust that he didn't get grease on the Clutch or PP. I did clean the flywheel with a rag and rubbing alcohol to ensure that...

my thoughts on R154 vs W58

Well I have to preface this by saying that my R-154 was used and it howls in 4th and moans in 5th, but I indeed have noticed the R-154 is much notchier, and less forgiving if you're not rev-matching as much. The W58 was a much smoother transmission for shifting etc.
