    No I mean the actual Cam timing Steve. If it's somehow slipped a tooth it might explain your issues (High EGTs) The Cam timing could be out and the CPS could be set perfectly in relation to the Crank. Usually if it's rich like you describe the EGT's are low.

    40 base with +8 at stock boost is fine but if you're running lots of boost an old pump may lay down a bit and lean out up top.

    With a stock Composite gasket it'll seal fine just don't try to use it with a MHG like that!

    Grim: LOL I said I've done it before not that I recommend it ;) I think on pump Gas you'd be safer with a harder 1st ring Stainless or CroMo just steer clear of any that are hard Chromed as they'll never seal!
