when is rod knock not rod knock

We have a WINNER! ;) Flex Plate! From the supplied info low oil pressure at idle was my first guess Suze plugged a mechanical gauge in and confirmed it had 38 psi at idle so the cracked flex plate was my second option. I agree with Tony online diagnosis is very hard but if there are...

    Bhg???

If you're getting a milky film under the oil cap don't drive it as you're contaminating the oil and Rod Knock won't be far away.

    replacing head gasket

Apexi: As many of the coolant hoses as you can replace while the head's off. Cheap insurance for the future they cost a bit from Toyota but are a LOT cheaper than another rebuild as our motors are intolerant of cooling failures.

The supra has ended my future and my life

Sort of be surprised if they have a 7M head in stock though as our cars just aren't that common Brett! Make sure they test it for hardness it take 10 seconds and could save a PILE of grief later on!

If it's an exchange deal they may charge you a core charge until you give them your head.

In theory yes! The biggest concern I had when I was trying to find a good head to recondition was most were soft on the exhaust side :(.

DAMN IT MAN! A cracked rotor!

A rear isn't quite as dangerous as a cracked front (if it were a front I wouldn't drive it) You can reuse your pads just rough em up on some coarse sandpaper.

    upgrading coils

Figgie: I didn't want to run it waste fire and my supplier did me a killer deal on the Dis4's (that and it future proof's it in case I want to go V8 later) ;)!

    Group A's group a rebuild

Good stuff Steve I LOVE the multifunction gauges means less clutter! 375 gauges is all well and good for the young guys but you can only look at 2>3 while going fast ;)!

cant rev past 2k rpm when driving

Shaeff: :( Damn this distance thing I just stripped ALL of the Gas lines from my car and chucked em out.... they were in perfect condition as we don't get the White Vomit here (snow) You could have had them free.
