The item I linked to above goes vertically into the pan, so it would have to have the threaded bung welded into the bottom. As for point of leak, not a problem. It's a simple NPT thread, and you could just screw it in with some teflon tape or thread seal liquid and be done with it.

How is your AFPR plumbed in- isn't it supposed to be plumbed into the fuel rail outlet? I still see the stock FPR on the rail.

You might be able to get away with the resistor mod. See Dr. J's website. It's what I did for my 7M turbo swap.
