Yeah- I think most people suggest 72ft-lbs on stockers. I don't think that the FelPro HG is a bad option either. I did up to 14 psi on the stock CT, with Felpro and ARP's, and never had BHG.

Open them up, check the gear to gear clearance, the gear to cover clearance, and the gear to body clearance, as per the TSRM. Also- Make sure the one you use(if it's within spec) is the GTE model. It'll have 37mm length gears, IIRC.

I like to throw this at just about every no-start post: Check the cps wires. They fray and get brittle, and can cause an intermittent no-start.

I think that the oil cooler mod(to thermostatic) is almost a necessary mod, since the factory system only opens the cooler circuit above a specific pressure(~40psi). I'm pretty sure that the oil needs to be cooled on occasions when you are at less than that psi. Other oil mods include shimming...

Degrease the engine so that there's no oily areas on the bottom, sides or top, and figure out where its coming from. Did you have the turbo flange gaskets replaced?
