Sounds like a Capacitor AM.... Can't see it being the issue though! Time to go through all of the Fuses/fusible links and check to see if there's an open circuit anywhere. Pity you don't have a known good unit to try in the car just to rule out that your new Alt may be DOA.

Swag: Tried SP2 a few times and had some instability so went back to SP1. Ya gotta remember this was built many years ago, I got one of the first 3.06 P4's in the country!

To confirm this run it and disconnect the battery ground.

Once it's running the battery has no effect it should run on the Alt without the battery at all.

Most good bearing suppliers will have a listing and can sometimes be cheaper than OEM.

Should be charging at around 13.8v AM.

BF: I used to upgrade every 3 months and always had cutting edge gear, I built this box a few years back and just got to the point it was more than fast enough for everything I do so stopped! It helped prepare me for modding the Supra as they're both black holes for $$$ :D
