I thought about it but the Cons outweighed the Pros for me and a Group A Magnesium pan came on the market so I grabbed that and a Teflon Crank Scraper instead.
My guess is the chick was an instructor there.
Can't see the track being responsible as everyone would have signed a waiver before entry.... you know the usual "MotorSport is dangerous you agree not to hold blah blah blah"
While the cutout will achieve the same there are a few downsides, slow spool while it's closed and the chance of a noise ticket if you give it a squirt at the wrong time/place.
I'm NOT saying my way is the only way but it works for me.
Set it so half the pin is showing in the hole then put the pin in and bolt it down!
If you preload em too much they run out of travel and you can get a huge boost spike :(
