How did you fail exactly? There's nothing really to fail at only achieve sub satisfactory results. I'm guessing it rode like shit and handled worse? That's a result of blown/wornout struts/shocks not cut springs.
Another thing that can happen is to notice a vibration from the cv's in the rear...
Quickest, doubtful, drag cars pull more then 1G. Easiest? id agree with that.
I mentioned the increase of spring rate and im sure you could calculate how much it was increased based on how much length you remove.
I never said cutting was doing it right.
i fail to see the stupidity of cutting...
Another war thread about this and again ill put in my experience. ive cut my springs in my car and it worked out fine. The ride quality wasn't punishment, the struts didn't explode, and it isn't bouncy.
Im not saying its the right way to lower the car and im not saying springs are too...
Trust me there's white scum, Spanish scum, Asian scum, Black scum and as far as I'm concerned doesn't matter what kind of scum someone is, they deserve to be thrown behind bars in some basement never to see the light of day or have interaction with humane society ever again. Ofcouse this is only...
Is the starter spinning the crankshaft? any grinding noises? how do you know the starter is spinning?
If the starter is in fact spinning and not turning the crankshaft the gear on the starter isnt engaging the flywheel.
Either the flywheel is striped, or the gear isn't being moved towards the...
No air meter or maf will increase or allow increase of power. The lex/550 modification increases fuel delivery. This is compensated by a larger afm housing to allow more airflow into the engine with less accounted for air to keep air fuel ratios correct.
The key to this upgrade is the larger...
Good for stock, shitty compared to nice bar and plate after market intercoolers. Replaced mine with an HKS drop in, its roughly the same dimensions on all sides but the difference is very noticeable, night and day. Thats just switching from tube and fin to bar and plate with same rough...
Stock boost is 6-7 psi. Running 10 will put you near fuel cut. I Really don't think you can hurt anything if everything is stock because fuel cut will shut then engine down before you put it in harms way, that's why it's there.
If you have a FCD and are trying to run 15+ on stock turbo and...
When a gas is compressed it gets hot in simple terms. The turbocharger might be hot but the amount of time the air is inside a compressor housing is not enough to heat it that substantially. Pressure law states as pressure increases, temperature increases.
Taking say 1 pound of air mass at...
The heat is made mostly from compression not from the heat of the turbo. the amount heated isnt fixed so going from compressing the air at 150F degrees inside the engine bay as compared to 70F degree ambient air could make quite the difference. Also at speed the air being essentially blown into...
