Its not just a 7m, its any motor that can benefit from a pcv system that fits its specific application.
Piston rings don't rely on the tension of the ring against the cylinder wall to seal thousands of pounds of pressure. The gases hit the ring and move outward towards the cylinder wall and the...
If you put breathers on the valve covers, its no longer connected to the intake manifold in any way, thus no vacuum is applied to the crankcase therefore no change in airflow threw the crankcase or afm.
After a certain RPM the wheel just doesn't catch air, do any of you people posting over 25psi know how a centrifugal impeller works?
Centrifugal impellers cant suck in air very well they use centrifugal force to PUSH air. Air in front of the blades is caught by the tip of the spinning impeller...
IJ: i have my accumulators (1-2 and 2-3 i forget the names i believe there b1 and b2 IIRC) mechanically disabled with a steel bar inside the stock spring that only allows maybe a millimeter of movement. When taking off from a stop in the L position there is still a good 2-3 second delay shifting...
Ma70, no heat, just misinterpretation.
Never said anything about bieng safe, just what can he do for free horsepower. would also be a shame if they gutted the cats or cut the exhaust because we wouldnt want the OP to either get a ticket on the first test run or fail inspection.
Its all good...
Did you read the rest or just stop there? I was pointing out that all ideas (removing airfilter/box, cutting downpipe, shimming wastegate, getting around fuel cut for more boost) are all stupid ideas without actually spending money on "smart mods".
If you had read the rest you would see i was...
Ive herd it can hurt them kind of the same way a water jet works. Alot of pressure washes away the bearing surface. Im sure theres some type of fancy word for it, ive seen IJ talk about it.
Also theres more resistance on the oil pump at higher pressures bogging down the motor. probably not...
the "screw mod" works marginal at best, maybe another half psi or so, not worth even wasting the time. Fuel cut is there for a reason, even if you can get around it your stock 440's will only flow so much.
Taking the filter out is unsafe? and cutting the exhaust at the down pipe isn't a bad...
cut off exhaust, shim wastegate and take out the air cleaner.
Pretty much it as far as "free"
AFM screw wont do anything for power and neither with anything else really besides cutting off the exhaust.
I think i read somewhere that every one degree Fahrenheit you change the temperature equals about 1 horsepower. i believe this is also assuming equal barometric pressure and the only variable being temperature.
No idea if its totally true but i know for a fact during the summer, in the day time...
Slide: its nothing more then a 3.8 turbo solid axle car. Anything will do that with enough money. But like everyone else says, how will that GN fair around a road course against that bike?
I think the bike would say "see ya" in the first corner and never be seen again.
Those cars a 6 cylinder...
