just do this...... used 2 small strips of 1/4 inch steel plate to fill the gap from the mounting plate to the metal surround. Welded it up solid, should be good for anything and only cost me 10 minutes and a small amount of steel i already had laying around.

That turbo would be out of breath at 5000rpm at anything over 10 psi. not to mention the serious choke the exhaust housing would place in the exhaust.

you need to raise the rpm to maybe 1500-2000 and let it drop quickly, it will surge the coolant. Also squeezing hoses while doing this process helps aswell.
