My Yellow Top has been great I've had it a few years now and even after sitting for 6 months would still turn the motor over!
The big selling point for me was it being sealed as it's trunk mounted.
(They will vent gas if you charge over 15v though)

Mount it on the cold side of the bay and run the bigger hoses to it then back into the PCV system and keep any eye on the CC!

It's pretty easy there's a ton of material in the Covers!
Stock fittings are just pressed in so nothing stopping you drilling the holes and getting some tube to press back in instead of tapping the holes.
I drilled and tapped the Cam covers for bigger fittings then ran em to a T and into the Air cleaner and that solved my issues even with a damaged block.
