    7MGTE rpms sit at 3500...

To expand on JJ's statement if it were just a vac leak, you would be seeing fuel cut at around 1200-1500rpm because the idle contacts in the tps would be telling the tccs the engine should be at idle causing the tccs to stop the engine from reving above said limit. As JJ said check the...

    Intake Hardpipe (was: so....)

Looks like the coolese pipe. should work fine with stock turbo or any other turbo with a similar inlet size. For future referance a better, more descriptive title would be more helpful for future searchers.

Only way to get a safe timing curve is as figgie mentioned, on a dyno making pulls advancing timing to get minimum best timing.

best way to drain auto trans?

Put a glove over the tailshaft opening after you pull out the driveshaft. Keep the converter all the way in and loop the cooler circuit. Shouldn't be able to leak and fluid.

what is the optimal coolant temperature for a 7m motor?

Straight coolant. Why? Added expense for worse heat transfer. As ive said before the shroud and undercover aren't necessary unless you have issues with your cooling system. Sure they help, but if your overheating because you don't have them, you have other issues. Put a stock thermostat in the...

aftermarket coolant temp sensor install advice

Arent all of the sensors the same thread size? i thought the only difference is between a sensor hole and maybe the water bypass fitting? So the sensors are 16x1.5 or 12x1.5 depending on the sensor? or else there BSPT?

aftermarket coolant temp sensor install advice

Witch hole is that for? Above it was found to be 16x1.5 to replace a sensor. unless your speaking of the water bypass fitting hole as it looks visually smaller then the others. Im not saying your wrong, just dont want to buy the wrong part(s). The N/A water neck has banjo bolts that are...

aftermarket coolant temp sensor install advice

Is there a reason the water bypass is there? Its completely in the way and clutters up the turbo side of the engine. Im looking to replace the CSI time switch with the prosport 1/8th npt sender. I dont need it any longer and i use the stock coolant temp sender for the EMS, i want to rid my...

aftermarket coolant temp sensor install advice

I really don't think its that crucial to have the sensor actually in the flow of the coolant. I would have a hard time believing that the temperature of the coolant would differ very much at all in the 1/2-3/4 inch the sensor is away from the flow of coolant. It would still be contacting the...

    Pulsation damper question

A bigger turbo and larger AFM increase the CAPACITY of allowable airflow into the engine. Capacity is not always 100 percent utilized. The larger AFM is letting un-metered air in while at the same time the injectors are letting additional fuel in to compensate, raising fuel pressure is...

    maft gen2 questions

Works great, i had one on my car for a while before going standalone. They work good as they have load points so you only adjust when you want/need to. You really have to know when to adjust because if you adjust during closed loop the TCCS will correct fuel trims for what it wants to see and...
