This may sound really stupid, but you said it happened right after a rebuild. Did you fill the coolant all the way up? It can be a pain to burp the heater core sometimes.
Divided is when the exhaust housing of the turbine has two separate inlets to the turbine wheel. A divided manifold is one that has two separate outlets in one flange.
Thats a divided turbine housing.
Thats a divided manifold.
The reason behind the divided turbine housing and manifold is...
I dont completely agree, especially on an automatic car. The compressor surge from and improperly functioning or lack of bov is no where near as harmful and true compressor surge.
BTW, nice sig haha.
I can understand your statement on wastegates, as if they fail it could cause damage. Though we do have boost cut for a reason, and safety measures should always be used. A knockoff wastegate could fail just as easy as the reference line could melt on the manifold. There was also a thread a...
AOD. It's what I'm putting in my car if the A340E can't handle it. They can hold alot of power, still have overdrive, and since they come in mustangs there readily available.
Also taller overdrive would allow for a shorter rear end ratio while retaining the same cruiseability as stock. :)
Love mine, But i have a big stall and a big turbo. Mines also "Built". We'll see how it holds up, plan to put it threw the ringer in the summer. 500+HP and big sticky tires.
Its all personal preference. I like the ratios, overdrive with the converter locked means i can cruise at 80mph at...
You mean theres more to it then sex and beer? :biglaugh:
Agreed BUT, Just because you buy your tuition, doesnt mean you buy an education. Just because your there doesn't mean you learn. ;)
I see, know of any housings without lines? Theres a few people on HIDplanet that make there own lenses from .10" Acrylic. Heat it up in an oven and bend it with a wooden mold. If i could buy housings with no lines that would be much easier though.
Are the Hella ballasts supposed to be...
I see the point of monitoring after cooler temps because you can monitor cooler performance. I guess that is the more important place to see. If the oil is over heated before the cooler, you're going to want to look after the cooler to see the end result. Monitoring after the cooler would be...
This guy has a full shop with a lift and he cant install a transmission? Must be nice to be rich and buy everything you want, Too bad you cant buy knowledge.
Anything to back up that statement? Many people are using knock off equipment without issues. My knock off HKS wastegate from Driftmotion is working very well for me.
IMO you have to be crazy to pay 200+ For such a simple device. Especially something that is mass produced and not "One off".
Thanks for the input! I was thinking of using the Ebay housings but they all have lines in the lense, i wonder if that would effect output of the headlight?
What brand ballasts are you going to go with? The retrofit source claims that the Morimoto ballasts are of the best quality but i have...
Wouldn't you want oil temperature pre oil cooler (in the pan for example) to gauge the temperature of the internal components? would tell if things are getting too hot somewhere and if the oil is doing its job.
This is something i was wondering as i was going to be getting around to a oil...
