Ummm if your new Turbo is stuffing more in to give the same power at lower boost it's still going to be at the same cylinder pressure and this is what causes detonation.
xxhp = xxcylinder pressure only saving grace of the bigger turbo is it won't heat the intake charge as much as it's moving...
500 is enough to break it in.

You can choose either less compression via a thicker gasket or less boost if you can't readily find better gas.
(no use building a car you can't get fuel for closeby)
