    All depends on your budget. I wouldn't trust a "good running 7M" from ANYWHERE ;) Anything I bought would get a tear down and checked then go from there.

    This isn't a bitchslap to our younger members but recently I'm seeing a trend more and more of people buying Supra's with little to no mechanical experience and then undertaking rebuilds.... Our cars while old and cheap to buy now are a VERY complex system and I'm confused as to why people...

    You can buy long helicoils but you'd need 2 in the same hole to give enough thread engagement, using 1 will mean more localised stress on that hole and "might" give a different clamping force for that hole. Anything that affects head seal on a 7M has to be approached very carefully.

    Bit of an update: built a new centre muffler as the last one burst on the dyno when it hit the rev limiter, this one is much thicker and the welds are all ground smooth.

    HK$ Stopper is a $400 gasket so it would be stupid to ditch it after one use if it's still in good shape..
