    Can't put my hands on my JE sheet but I'm pretty sure for 2000 series aluminium pistons it was 4 thou total, Ross are 6 thou but rattle when cold if machined to that.

    Should have been a spec sheet in with the JE's but from memory it's 4thou No use using the TRSM as Forged pistons require different PtoBore than cast.

    Between 30>50 ft/lbs depending on bolt type.

    Ngk kit has a cal dial on the unit it's simple to use has an AUX output so can talk to a standalone and is a nice affordable unit that just works.

    The bigger turbo's come into their own after 18psi, if I had more ignition I'd be running more than my current 20psi daily :)

    Mk3: No probs +1qt is fine and not even almost near the crank with the motor stopped, with it running there's probably 1>1.5 qts pumped around the inside and top end. Lost of misinformation and guess work creeping into this thread recently.

    Short chain from a Clutch cover bolt around the leg of the engine stand then back to the bolt works fine for me if I'm not pulling the pan.

    It's a bandaid pure and simple.... If you need a higher octane fuel by all means run one but if the goal is a pump gas tune do it right and not by crossing your fingers and hoping everything in the Meth kit will continue to function.

    If you keep IAT's low and timing conservative it's doable. You may not reach the same peak outputs as you could with more timing but that will get you too close to the detonation threshold. When you have it tuned they'll probably use a pair of electronic ears to listen for detonation then...
