Austin: This is a mistake you can learn from ;)
(you were very lucky this time)
Where I would slap you senseless is if you didn't learn from it and kept making similar mistakes.
You have access to arguably the best resource for Mk3's in the world (SM) and 24/7 someone will be here that...
.351"/9mm lift 280 degrees duration (226 @ 50thou)
13>15 thou lash.
Cams are currently installed to 0 per their timing tag
Nothing special other than it's all screwed together right and tuned properly, light crank and good balance might be helping a little at idle.
My guess is they're 264 and 272 @ 50 thou NOT 264/272 advertised like the BC cams for the 7M's.....
I run 280 advertised here and they're 226 @ 50 so not all that big.
This confusion in terminology has been a problem with bench racing from the year dot.
Austin: I'm very surprised the guys aren't ripping into you harder than they are!!
It says a lot for how far SM has come that they're not as what you did was very foolish and dangerous.
Looking at it from outside I have to ask what gave you the idea that you could do successful brake work...
Grim: LOL shhhh it only does it at the very extreme limit of grip ;)
(by that stage it's actually hurting physically so I back off a bit, I'm oldNfragile)
"Budget 7M Mk3" has to be an OxyMoron.
Not bashing but NOTHING on these cars or for these cars is cheap and the motor is in quite a high state of tune for an NA stock so it's really hard to improve without spending the big $.
The bottle would be the best bang for the $ as long as you don't...
Wchi: The 3rd cover is just a cover nothing else.
You may need to break the seal between the head and the block there's a spot at the front corner that you can lever with a screwdriver to pop it up.
While Joe may NOT have any authority over you I sure as hell do ;)
Relax chill a bit and don't snap back when people post things you don't want to hear....
You'll get your info you just need to be a little more patient is all.
Ant: Never had an ABS Supra so can't offer any specific help here, my suggestion would be ask JJ but he's here already ;)
I'd start by checking that ABS sensor on the trans, unhook it from the Wolf and see if ABS returns.
How did you tap it for the Wolf connection?
