Figured I would share my thoughts

Strip the black one and put it on a rack and build 1 decent car out of the 2. The big component is straightening a shell is them removing and refitting parts if you rock up with a bare shell on a trailer it's not going to cost a lot.

You can't win.... No matter how much you tip into that it'll always be a rusty Supra.

what size intercooler are you running?

89w: You might notice a touch more perceived lag but nothing that will make it undrivable, personally I like to future proof things and get the very best parts in place even if they're not needed right now ;)

Probe Industries Forged Pistons - INSTALLATION DETAILS

They're usually measured where the material is thickest as this is the point of greatest expansion.

    My machinist is scaring me

Ummm no it's not normal but is done from time to time.... Correct way is Rods are sized xx + or - the bearings are installed, rods are torqued in a rod vice then micced. Crank pin is measured and depending on this size it's either Ground or linished to get the desired clearence. Where...

    Moly rings...

LMAO @ this thread :D Chrome = Chrome plated faces Way hard as Dow pointed out CroMo = CroMoly material used in the ring Very strong Moly = a receiver groove cut in the face of the ring and filled with Molybdenum Bad in a motor that sees detonation as the Moly flakes out

what size intercooler are you running?

Nothing to add to the pics really they tell it all ;) On my car there is pretty well 1 way that everything will fit in there so that's how it came out. The 4" core was well worth the hassle in fitting, if you're running a modern BB Turbo ignore EVERYTHING you think you know about Lag/IC...

Is the AEM worth it for 600rwhp?

ALL of the standalones I've run end up MUCH better than stock. I think/feel it would be far easier to blow a motor up using a piggyback then a SA. Don't make large changes without understanding what you're playing with and you'll be fine! Hopefully Chevyeater/Brian jumps into this...

Is the AEM worth it for 600rwhp?

The AEM will allow FULL control over everything. I'm not a fan of piggybacks after the basic Lex/550's stage due to the fallout from how they "adjust" things. With the AEM you'll also be able to control any and all accessories you have or add later this is priceless as it integrates the...

    high temp coupler for exhaust?

Most marine systems run water out with the exhaust to keep temps down this is how they get away with aluminium manifolds.
