the honeycomb straightens the air so it can properly make the vortex that read the airflow, if it's screwed up, the vortex won't work right and it will read wrong or not at all...

you'll have to fab up some brackets for em, but I bet they're gonna be much lighter...

screwed up honeycomb = bad AFM water in plug valley = bad misfires

:yelrotflm anyways, they look like they are bolts that are welded on the top... I don't think you'd be able to weld directly to the diaphram spring without majorly screwing up the heat treating on it...

and it's ABSOLUTELY necessary for studs, as they won't go all the way down without cleaning the years of crap out of there...

I had mine polished (rod knock engine with metal in the oil, cams looked BAD), they came out great...

go back to stock suspension, plenty of room :naughty:
