the ONLY issues I've ever had with kumhos is they like to go brown pretty quick (nothing a good scrubbing with simple grean and some tire shine doesn't take care of)

you can have both really, the main downfall is when there is a hot spot in the combustion chamber causing pre-ignition. Working the head into a swirl style port and getting rid of any edges that may get hot will go a long way towards that...

I agree with the doc, I've seen a TPI motor in a supra and it was quick...but not quicker than a BPU 7M...
now an LSX...or maybe a northstar or the ZR-1 motor, that would be fun...
