you can CAREFULLY wipe off the gunk on the vortex generator (remove the electronics, it makes it easier), and then clean the hell out of the housing with thme removed...
don't get anything in the sensor holes...
the t-stat I used would only go in one way with the jiggle valve at the top...
don't re-use the o-ring, as it's cheap, and if you re-use it, it can possibly leak like mine did...
use a torque wrench on the bolts, it's that simple... you DO have torque wrenches don't you?
yeah, I could care less if it's a knock off, but I'm not sure if I would skimp on fuel...
Venom injectors anyone?
I'd like to see both side by side and see what the real quality is...
back of my owner's manual...
"Fuel: Use only UNLEADED fuel, Research Octane No. 91 (Octane Rating 87) or higher. For improved vehicle performance, the use of Premium unleaded gasoline was a Research Octane No. of 96 (Octane Rating 91) or higher is recommended."
IMHO, if you have ANY mods...
the shafts wear and you get movement that causes uneven pad wear... not to mention if they seize bad and are rusted...
a fully remanned caliper assembly has them replaced...
if cooleeze started rolling beads in their pipes instead of tack welding those ring on they would be MUCH easier to manage...
not to mention spacing everything right for t-bolt clamps and using t-bolts instead of worm gears...
German cars break on our shitty american roads...
When I was in germany, we had an A8 rental and the damn thing cruised effortlessly at 120mph and would take off and pass very easily at those speeds...
Germany cars are very VERY well made for the application, sadly they aren't the best...
I'd be worried about the fittings and lines...
the regulator is a simple piece, but I think being cheap on fuel is a bit too costly if it fails...
if the regulator fails, the pressure drops and you go lean (as most people have bypassed the safety of the J-tube)
a knockoff BOV or WG is...
expensive, and if they're pre-89 they yellow and look like crap with any aging...
CF doorsills, dash piece that goes around the stereo...
a CF FFIM would be pretty neat as well, as I see CF intakes out for quite a few cars...
might even plug right in if you find the right relay...
I'll look into this, it won't hurt anything, it would blow a fuse before frying anything, right?
