The front is not just a cover, it's a Fresnel lense that properly aims the light. The blinder is there to stop you from blinding people!
Direct viewing of an HID bulb is TOO BRIGHT, you need to put the blinders back in at least!
If not, be prepared to have high beams flashed...
Take the lense off and soak it in Castrol Super Clean (might have to scrub)
It will remove the paint without harming the lense (it's how I removed the paint from the center section of my tails so the color matches)

You don't HAVE to bench bleed, but it makes life easier. As the system is small it's not as bad as trying to push all the air through the system on the brakes...
Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean there isn't a problem.
The thrust washers doesn't have any oil forced into them, they aren't the same kind of bearing as the rest of the engine (more like the tranny where the lubrication is from splashing).
