I have the six-speaker system in my 91 and it sounds terrible, with aftermarket stereo, etc. I just left 2 of the rear ones disconnected, so that it would be like what I had in my 87T... sounds much better. The 4 speakers in the back, appear to run off of the same channels and unless you've...
Oh.... I thought you meant the front body harness that has the connectors for the headlights...
Yes, all of the headlights use the same 3-wire connection/connector... 86.5-92. The headlight # would be 6054 for all those years. Good luck!
No they aren't... I have had a few different sets... they are different between years, trim, model, etc.
Your BEST bet is to get one from a similar NA or T that has near the same production date as yours. They do have a "partnumber" tag on 'em, but I've seldom seen these match up to each...
Yeah, I know you have spark now, but like he said, you could have 1 bad coil in the set.
I also have an extra coilpack and the wires that go between them and the harness....
Let us know how that AFM works out too....
I think you guys missed the message here.... If you have an icey grill, you may be able to prevent another BHG and save a Supra ;-)
At the very least, it should keep you intercooler working as efficiently as it could...
Silly-@$$ thread......
Just thought of something else....
Since you mentioned timing, I remember when I did my 1st BHG fix....
I accidentally left the timing belt tensioner loose and the belt skipped, after I set the timing. Took me quite some time to find the issue, since I was so certain I had set the CPS...
Sounds like you've gone thru most of it...
Still, I would suggest a few things...
1. Try hooking the stock afm/MAF back up (just eliminate the MAFT as a problem...I know U swapped it w/another, but just try the stock one for a minute).
2. Follow the troubleshooting steps in the body...
Problem solved!
Went thru everything in the TRSM... all the steps. Finally got to the point where I had to check the ignition switch. Took the panels off to get to the ignition switch connector and it was COMPLETELY disconnected!!!
Dunnno how or why it got that way, but am going to...
I recently got a new 7m/auto harness for my 90T ... Curt @ Elmhurst... was maybe $340 after shipping.
I also use Jeff @ Champion Toyota for other routine stuff, but since I live in Texas I have to pay that sales tax and it hurts with the big ticket items. So be aware that you have 2 sources...
Ain't it crazy... I hadn't driven mine "consistently" in almost 3 years.
So, I dumped the 1JZ and the 2JZ projects and put a 7M back in (yeah, I know it's hilarious, but I just wanted to drive it again and enjoy it). Things have been looking good and then THIS!
I'm gonna play with it some...
Oh... and by the way, before they start bashing Florida 'cause of last year's hurricanes... that is extremely unusual. I grew up there and we never got hit that often before...
Everywhere you go, there will be weather concerns. I seldom saw hail in Florida, here it's kinda common and the...
I moved here (N. Texas.. Dallas area) a few years back... I came from the Tampa Bay area, near Clearwater.
I'd agree with JD... Austin is a beautiful place, without the big city feel (AKA nastiness), like Houston and Miami.
The Tampa Bay area is the BOMB! Texas is okay and I'm here for...
I had an issue once after replacing the brake master cylinder... felt like the wheels were dragging as well... Parts counter guy thought I was nuts, but I made him exchange the master cylinder for another remanufactured one and it worked like it was supposed to.
Like PSI said... could be a...
Yeah.... went thru the TRSM troubleshooting deal and checked the light, right from the ECU and it does work, just not lighting up. The EFI main won't click and the more I check and the more I look, I am even more confused. It's almost looking like a dead ECU. I am going to see if I can borrow...
I'm stumped....
Gonna check the ignition switch now, per TRSM. Not anything else left to check/replace, so I hope it pans out. I did find that the EFI Main isn't getting any power either, but I can't seem to find the "Fusible link Main2.0L," from the diagram attached...
4 hours into this and still can't figure it out. I found this, disconnected near the antenna... can't find what it would go to. Yellow (w/black stripe) and red wires.... the red one has power, even with they key removed from the ignition.
Symptom(?): This might be normal, tho I've never...
