    Tech-tips; How-to's...with pics

Yeah... It should all have the same look & feel... that's the easy part. It's gathering all this stuff and putting it together. C'mon now guys... whos' got projects going on this weekend? Here's a list of project-pics I'd like (I have most of the info/knowledge, but additional tips/steps...

    Tech-tips; How-to's...with pics

Okay guys, I dunno when, but I will make some time to do some write-ups for all the common stuff we do.... Removing the dash, replacing a clutch, engine swaps, timing belt, plugs... whatever! I have a bunch of experience doing it, but not alot of pics. I am volunteering to put some...

    My poor baby needs work...

By the way, the dpeed sensor only takes a few minutes to replace... However, it may not be the problem. The TRSM has you check a bunch of things, before replacing it. I have the code and replaced the ECT and speed sensor (with known-good ones) and I still have the code... probably some bad...

    My poor baby needs work...

I'm glad you got what you needed.... I was about to send you what I had left from my headset... valve cover gaskets, cams seals, new front main seal, etc. Anyways, let us know if you need help on anything. There's bound to be another enthusiast near U. For years, I have been meaning to...

any one had to deal with a "stalker" before?

Damn... A COFFEE CUP!?!?!? You're insane.... do you know how much collateral damage that could do? Now, a mug of beer..... yeah, a frosty mug of beer.... that'll do the trick! This thread reminds me of Bill Murray chasing the gopher in Caddyshack.... you'll do fine... Now go git that varmit!

    Paint color change...your thoughts?

Hee hee hee.... Uh, NO! It's a toss up between black, and black Mica.... I plan to put a good amount of clear on it, so that I can wetsand and give it a seriously-deep polish, before TX2K6.

    Paint color change...your thoughts?

Okay.... in a nutshell... We have a black 2000 Mitsu Galant, black 94 Supra, and a black Mica 90 MKIII. I am getting ready to repaint (maybe myself), the Galant and the MKIII. The black Mica looks okay and you can only tell when you get up close, that it has that "redness" in it. I...

any one had to deal with a "stalker" before?

I've decided I am probably gonna get a taser.... Non-lethal and will put the target down (for me to kik in the head), 'til the cops arrive.... Nothing like a kajillion volts to remind you that you Fed up!

For those who Dyed their Dash

I've only done the dash and center console, but it did not take long and I already had it out... basically about $30 in paint, adhesion promoter, etc... I still have about 4 cans left over. Took about an hour to do the dash completely, re-coating every 10 minutes or so. I'd be interested...

    HELP with Carpet Install

The way I "patched up" my previous bad spots was to cut a piece of the leftover carpet and patch it into place using a glue gun (glue underneath, of course). Yeah, once you put everything back in, you'll see that many of the imperfections are hidden.... what a shame... it looks great seeing...

    Speedo Cable

Just regular motor oil... 20w50, 10w40, synthetic, whatever:icon_bigg

    HELP with Carpet Install

The "bunched up" part in the corners (at the back seat), will tuck under the side panels and fold over (to be under the back seat). I'd take a pic of mine, but it's at the shop today, gettin' some new tint. I'll see what I can do later tonight. FWIW, I think very few of us got our 1st...

    Speedo Cable

As far as oiling the cable.... easiest to just disconnect at the tranny, bring up thru the engine bay and hang it to the hood somehow. Before you do hang it, place some oil in a small baggie and put the end of the cable in it. You are not going to need much oil, but basically "rubber-band" the...

    HELP with Carpet Install

I don't know what you mean by outer-corners, but if you stretch the carpet a little bit, it should be okay. Remember that it will take awhile before the carpet sits flat and perfect, since it just came out of a box. I purposely used the seatblet bolt holes (by the doors) to "pull" the carpet...

    Opinions on Custom Gauges?

I don't think they are ricey at all... for a long time we tried to make 'em on our own, before they finally started making some to fit our MKIIIs. If anything, I think that they update the dash a bit, like what you have in most vehicles today (white-face guages). I am looking for a...

    Depleted uranium?!?!?!? WTF

Lots of propaganda out there and all kinds of unrelated pics, events, and useless stats can be used to present what someone wants you to believe. I surely wouldn't get all mad about this, I'd look for true verification (if I was even close to believing it)...

    Speedo Cable

I had the same issue and can tell you to use the "mechanic's rule for troubleshooting." Go with the cheapest part first... The nylon gear cost me about $25 a few years back... however, I spent the money and went thru the trouble (PITA) of changing the upper cable, then the lower cable...

    My poor baby needs work...

Listen to Grimjack and get some Supra-buddies/friends nearby. You can't own an MKIII without knowing how to do this yourself (or having alot of disposable cash available). 1. Get a rear speed sensor from the for sale section. Dunno if there's a difference in auto or 5-speed... takes less...

    Different style oil dipsticks?

The auto fluid dipstick has a "spring-type" of lever that need sto be pressed, as you try to remove the stick. It's on the driver's side. The motor oil dipstick is next to the turbo and while the dipstick themselves may have changed, I think all years have the tube attached there at the turbo...

    A few question to ask

I didn't scrape the orange off the needles, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. Probably not worth the extra step. The results were still very good. I'm sure you can go bigger on the speakers, but I'd still keep it limited to 4 speakers (unless your head-unit supports more thn 4 channels - most...
