The back plug is where they put the MAP sensor on the Turbo-A... But yes, that's their original reason for being there is to get the sand out of the mold. Same with the block and people calling them "freeze plugs" when in reality they wouldn't save your block...
The exhaust will raise boost causing boost leaks if everything isn't attached well enough. It would also cause more lag...

If I had a shell with no engine and none of the 7M specific extra parts (intercooler pipes, ect) then I would go 2J.
If you have a rebuildable 7MGTE in a 7MGTE car, you could have a fully built 7M for the price of the 2J swap.
Like I said, it depends a LOT on what you have to start with...

You're right, but only to the extent the O2 sensor is allowed to trim the fuel in the ECU. This is why the added ethanol to fuel should be fine as it's a small enough amount to just be adjusted for.

To the OP: Do you have a 2J? Do you have a 7M? It depends 100% on what you're working with here as to which one is cheaper.

Dunno why everyone wants to relocate the battery... Can't go to the strip, potentially toxic gasses, overall hassle to do... The weight shift isn't enough to justify it IMHO...
